The Slide-rock bolter

The Slide-rock bolter

, by katt oconnell, 1 min reading time

The Slide-rock bolter is pretty weird to say the least. ?It comes to us from North America, Colorado, to be exact. It kinda resemble a large whale or bottom feeding fish. The lumberjacks of the 19th and early 20th centuries described it as having a huge head and mouth and small eyes. Its tail has grab hooks on the end! And the really weird thing about it was that it lived in the mountains of Colorado but only on slopes that were greater than 45 degrees. Yes, you read that right. So this thing sits with its grab-hooks on the crest of a mountain. And it waits. And waits. Then when it has its victim in view its slides down the side of the mountain using the drool coming from the sides of its mouth. It's able to build up enough speed that once its scoops up its prey at the bottom it's able to rush up the next waiting spot.
